Good times ahead....

white cardigan

The weeks and months ahead are going to be busy and I can't wait. Happy times are ahead and first and foremost I'M GOING TO BE AN AUNT!! Excited is an understatement! I have one sister and this will be her first child, the first grandchild and my first niece or nephew, and the big day is less than 6 weeks away. It's such an exciting time and worrying time too, just to know that the baby will arrive safely and that mum and baby will be healthy. The not knowing too if a little girl or boy will enter the world is exciting too and that I can start buying little dresses or shirts. This child will be spoiled like all grandkids, nieces and nephews.. Life at home will be different but in a good way, another little person will be added to our family. I cannot wait to be involved in a little persons life and watch them grow, but hand them back when they cry..(joke)

As we don't know the sex of the baby yet, it's hard to buy anything, so for the time being we are gathering a few essentials to help my sister out. Until the birth of the baby and everything is good thats when the real buying/spoiling will commence!

The search for 'THE DRESS' begins..

I have two big weddings approaching this December and I am constantly on the look for "THE DRESS". One of the weddings falls on New Years Eve! NYE is associated with glitz and glamour and throw in one of your best friends weddings it intensifies the occasion. A family member got married on NYE nearly 5 years ago and it was so special to have all my family surrounding me when the clock struck 12. This year I can't wait to celebrate it with my nearest friends on such a wonderful occasion.

With this the search for the dress has begun. I want to be classic, express my style but yet be somewhat different. I haven't seen anything in the shops, well truth be told I have been researching online.I stumbled upon this dress in Mango recently and fell in love. Black isn't a colour I would usually go for but this dress has me transfixed.. Its the ultimate stylish, classy lace dress (and I do have a tendency to veer towards lace).  I have the vintage hairstyle planned, the birdcage headpiece, red lips and clutch visualised but just to take the leap and purchase it. I'm unsure about the bottom piece of the dress and also the fact that it is an online exclusive and not available in the shops which doesn't give me the option of try before you buy!

www.mango.com
I heard about www.joliedress.com who bought the most fabulous black dress for a gala ball.. I love this website as it offers a 'different kind' of dress. This is where the dilema starts! I'm torn between the above and now the below. These are a sample of the many dresses I would snap up in the morning or just after pay day in my case! So in your opinion what would a red head Irish girl go for on a New Years Eve Wedding Celebration, where she wants to look different, but stylish, and stand out but in a classy kinda way!!..
