La La Long Weekend...

So this is the last weekend in the 20's and I'm going to exit in style. Im off to celebrate my friend Stephanies Hen Night along with some close friends! We are meeting tomorrow at 12 and then its off to Cavan to stay in the Farnham Estate, on the grounds of the Radisson Blu Hotel. With the theme "Black and Bling' I have the perfect dress which I purchased at Christmas.. Silver jewellery and I'm good to go. Saturdays outfit will be my gold blazer from River Island themed with a cream and gold rimmed top,jeans and electric blue and gold heels!.

With Monday and Tuesday off,  on Sunday when I return home from Cavan, its off to Galway to stay for a few days in Forester Hotel for a couple of days relaxing for my 30th with my sister and beautiful niece Erin. It will make waking up on Tuesday, my 30th birthday a little easier...

Mid Feb and my 30th Looms....

February where are you going?? With my cousins and friends hen night and the BIG 30 thrown in, its flying by. With one hen over, the first round of bridesmaid shopping just gone this weekend followed by hen no 2 is this weekend, its pretty hectic..Black and bling is the theme, so luckily I have that dress at hand..Then I'm off to Galway with my sister and niece for a couple of chilled out nights to wave goodbye to my 20's and hello to my 30's..

As this is  my last week in my 20's there is a lot of different thoughts running through my head. Where I am today is probaly not what I had imagined myself to be years ago, but things don't always turn out as you would expect!  Its not that where I am is bad place, its just been a bit slower getting to where I want to be. And even though age is a number turning 30 is landmark age. I don't feel like I'm going to radically change on entering my 30's but I do know, I am a happier person within myself compared to the person I was turning 21. And that only comes through growing up, and the highs and lows throughout your teenage years, turning into your 20's where you learn some more about yourself and gradually as the years roll on come to accept yourself more and generally don't give  a sh*%t what other people think. Again, hindsight is a great thing and if I knew back then what I know and I look forward to the person I will be leaving my 30's.

Travel was something I had thought alot about, Australia for a year.. I have to do it before I'm 30, with visa and all brought this trip has not happened..Money and my inability to save was the key problem, then,but I learnt from numerous holidays since.. I can't and won't continually live out of a bag, its not me! I will see Australia but in my own way and how I want not slumming it from week to week living in hostels and scraping by..No thanks..

This day week I'll be 30 so expect another post or two in the meantime.. For now I leave you with images of the retro sweets I will have on each table for my 30th.. So I'm off to finish my bunting, labels for sweet jars and be a big kid in general for my 30th...

I have eagerly been awaiting the arrival of my Virgo Lounge Onyx Dress....  I fell in love with it and their site after seeing it advertised in 'Look' Magazine. Their clothes are beautiful, stunning , unique!!!
I was like a child on Christmas morning waiting on my dress..Virgos Lounge is  available in Mon Amie Killarney and Cherish in Clonakilty.

I have a big birthday looming and wanted something unique for this and this dress was it in a nutshell... No to find the shoes and accesssories..which with this dress will be minimal..Hope you like ...
