Another long weekend...

My reading for the weekend! Available {here}

As another bank holiday weekend beckons, this weekend is going to be a relaxing one!. After a hectic bank holiday weekend 2 weeks ago that involved a wedding,alot of alcohol consumption,broken down car, followed by l another Wedding of a close friend last weekend (hence no posts!), I'm looking forward to not having to be anywhere, do anything or the prep that goes into a wedding. This weekend is all about chilling out with my lovely niece, catching up on reading and hanging out with my friends. Throw in a bit of car shopping, Hen Night planning, a walk in Lough Key Forest park and maybe a few drinks in a favourite old man's pub at home, relaxing might not even get a look in. But to me thats the relaxing weekend, I usually crave after few hectic weekends! I can't sit and chill all weekend, thats what Friday nights are for! So I'm looking forward to catching up on reading and the two books above are first on the list!

The above books which I purchased today, I seriously can't wait to get stuck into. ' Recycled Chic' is a  book I have been longing for, for quite some time! Simply put "30 Simple ways to recycle, and renew and reinvent your pre-loved fashions"- This book is truly stunning for any craft/fashionista girlie. There is so many wonderful projects that bring your old items back to life!

Living with less, now this is where I will struggle. I am a hoarder of sorts, I'll tell you what kind after I read this book! But de- cluttering has never been my strongest point, I struggle letting go! But I have come to stage where I am ready to explode if I don't get some proper order on my Wardrobe, followed by books, jewellery,shoes, bags ...the lot. So here's hoping for a productive weekend!!!

Have a good one!

La La La Long weekend!!!

The first long weekend of the year is nearly upon us and excited is an understatement. I love long weekends and all that it brings. This St. Patrick's weekend will be spent in Carrick-On- Shannon in Lovely Leitrim, celebrating my cousins wedding on Saturday where we will stay for the weekend and celebrate St. Patrick's Day on Sunday watching the parade with my little niece Erin, pictured above.
With so many weddings on this year, the above purple and lime green dress was kindly borrowed from my friend. With another wedding next weekend, and hens and more weddings in the next few weeks this was best option. I have my hint of green for the weekend thats in it , and my green dress (pictured above) for the day after. Wearing green on St. Patrick's day is a patriotic must for me!
So whatever you are up to for the weekend, chilling , parade watching, wedding attendee or having the good old Irish craic...Enjoy....

The Vintage Fashion Journal

I am a big Stationary GEEK, I may have  mentioned this before now!. So you can imagine my delight when this landed into work.. Fashion in the form of Stationary! This beautiful vintage journal will beautiful fashion illustrations and quotes is a work of art. The only problem is I don't want to write in it or use it as its way too pretty. I have wrote a few of my all time favourite quotes in it. I think I will dedicate it to ideas/goads and fashion doodles! If you fancy a journal of the same its available online here!

"Transform your fashionable thoughts into a wardrobe of creative work with this petite journal by Laurence King Publishing in your thrifted tote! Its cover will instantly captivate with a colorful array of haute accessories and classic housewares - but uncinch the silky crimson ribbon to reveal an interior of pastel pages with light lines, geometric prints, and picturesque photo frames, punctuated by thoughtful quotes from iconic designers and chic illustrations to match. So when that classic credenza inspires a daydream about a mid-century LBD and a cocktail party to attend, a trip to the pool has you reminiscing about fresh retro swimsuits, or a stroll downtown prompts a perky song about your sweet 60's heels, find a way to dress up your ideas within this delightful hardcover notebook!"

Oodles of Doodles....

Copic Markers I love you! And Promarkers too! Who knew colouring in could be so much fun? Well not since I was about 5. I just recently heard of these markers and my new packet landed on my desk on Friday, so like a child at christmas I had to try them out, there and then! So in between waiting on files to save/print etc at work I started doodling!. With nibs on both end these markers are the busines! A favourite with illustrators and designers alike wave bye to these markers give a professional finish unlike your normal cheap packet of markers. Although some what more expensive than your normal markers these beauties are well worth the investment and with 214 colours in the range there is a colour for every illustraiton !. Always a follower of fashion and passion for sketching I'm forever doodling away at different outfit ideas.. Now to really put my mind to it and acutally try some proper sketches..(Watch this space!) Note: Until I scrape together enough pennies all drawings will have the same coloured clothing items..:-)
